PSL 2026 Venues and Grounds – PSL 11

Great news for all cricket lovers! The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 venues have officially been announced, and the excitement is already sky-high. The opening ceremony and first match of PSL 11 will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on April 11, 2026, while the grand final will light up the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 18, 2026.

Although Pakistan has many top-class cricket grounds, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized four iconic stadiums to host PSL 2026 matches:

  • 🏟️ Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • 🏟️ Multan Cricket Stadium
  • 🏟️ National Stadium, Karachi
  • 🏟️ Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

Let’s take a closer look at each PSL 2026 venue and what makes them special this season.

🏏 Gaddafi Stadium Lahore

Located in the heart of Lahore, the Gaddafi Stadium is one of Pakistan’s most iconic cricket grounds, with a seating capacity of around 27,000 spectators. Known for its electric atmosphere, Lahore’s passionate fans make every PSL match here unforgettable.

The opening ceremony of PSL 2026 will be held at Gaddafi Stadium, followed by an exciting opening clash between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. This season, nine matches will be played here, with Lahore Qalandars enjoying the home advantage.

The pitch at Gaddafi Stadium is known to be batsman-friendly, producing plenty of high-scoring games that keep fans on the edge of their seats.

🌟 Multan Cricket Stadium

The Multan Cricket Stadium has become one of PSL’s most beloved venues, thanks to the incredible passion of the Multani crowd. With a seating capacity of 30,000, it’s always buzzing with energy whenever Multan Sultans take the field.

This venue has been a lucky charm for the Multan Sultans — last season, they played five matches here and won four of them convincingly. The pitch at Multan is batting-friendly, offering true bounce and allowing stroke-makers to dominate. Bowlers often find it challenging to restrict runs on this surface, leading to high-scoring encounters, especially in night games.

🏆 National Stadium Karachi

The National Stadium Karachi is Pakistan’s largest cricket venue, with a seating capacity of 35,000. It has hosted several PSL finals and remains one of the most prestigious stadiums in the league. It’s the home ground of Karachi Kings, who traditionally begin their campaign here.

However, despite their home advantage, Karachi Kings have struggled to perform well in recent seasons. The PCB has scheduled 11 PSL 2026 matches at this stadium.

Unlike other grounds, the pitch at National Stadium Karachi tends to favor bowlers, offering swing and movement, especially for fast bowlers under the lights. Due to various factors, crowd attendance here has been slightly lower in recent editions, but the passion for cricket in Karachi remains unmatched.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium

The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host nine matches in PSL 2026. With a capacity of 15,000 spectators, it might not be the largest venue, but it’s known for its lively crowd and outstanding facilities.

While Peshawar Zalmi often plays their matches here, they don’t officially call it their home ground. Still, fans in Rawalpindi turn up in huge numbers, especially when Babar Azam is on the field.

The pitch here offers a good balance between bat and ball, producing competitive matches where both pacers and batsmen have opportunities to shine.
